The iPad 3 Covers

The latest news about the iPad 3 are that it won’t be the same size as it was until now. Basically its screen size was 9.7 inches but the new rumors about the iPad 3 say that new screen size could be 7.85 inches which means that iPad 3 would be smaller.

There are many advantages and disadvantages of that. Lets look at the advantages at the beginning:

You can put it in the pocket and you won’t even need special cover for it but as we don’t know the exact size of device then it is possible that only its screen changed, there is still possibility that the device will be the same size;
As it is smaller, you can use it in many places you didn’t want to use it before because of the size. I always thought that iPad 2 is little bit too big to read it in the bus, so I chose to use Amazon kindle instead and looks like Apple noticed that and want to make something different. If you wouldn’t like the size of iPad 3, then most likely there will be still a possibility to get an iPad 2 which will be bigger;
If it is smaller, then it will be stronger and it will be harder to break. Probably you’ve already seen these tests with an iPad 2 screen where it wasn’t possible to break it because Apple changed the screen cover and upgraded it. But still, we don’t know, maybe it will be smaller but thinner as well and that means screen won’t have enough pla
tes to be stronger than previous ones.

And what kind of disadvantages we can predict:

As people are using more different technologies these days and spend more hours next to computers and other devices, there can be a problem to see from far away what is written and showed in just a bit smaller screen. For example, people who are older will need to get glasses if they just wanted to check something quickly because size of the screen will be smaller;
iPad and iPad 2 are different size but they are almost the same. So people who just upgraded from the iPad to iPad 2 didn’t need to buy an extra cover for it if they’ve had already. For the next generation, if it will be smaller, then it won’t be smart idea to use the same case because it can slip out or get different damages because it won’t be fixed very well;
Don’t forget that if it will be smaller then it will be harder to replace with a laptop because for longer working hours your eyes will get tired because it is hard to focus on such a small screen for a long time.

As no one still can’t tell what will the new iPad 3 look and will it me named as an iPad 3 we can make some predictions about the covers that Apple Inc. will offer to their clients extra who will buy their new device.

If we compare the iPad and iPad 2 then Apple found out that they can offer their customers additional accessory for their device and began to offer iPad 2 covers which looked like this:

Of course it is a successful story because these accessories were sold by Apple Inc. and many other companies created similar cases to get some market share but this year it was much more difficult than previous years due to the fact that iPad came into market without a possibility to get a special case from Apple so it was great opportunity for other companies, for example “Case Mate”.

At the moment it is hard to talk about exact look of new iPad 3 covers if we don’t know yet about the iPad 3 specifics and there still can be some changes in its look as some rumors claim that iPad screen could change radically.

For one thing I am sure, that the style that Apple company create will stay the same. Every device they create is in youth style and they are using colors to highlight their products like the last ones that you can see in the picture above. Apple made these colors to make their products even brighter and functionality is great as well. They know a lot about their customers and Apple know what to do to satisfy their needs. One thing that many users didn’t like in the previous covers is the thing that there are no cover from the back at all. When you are using the iPad then you open it like a book but when it is closed you can still get many scratches in the back just by putting it to different surfaces. In a while it will look like used a lot.

There will be many companies that will try to fix this problem that they’ve already did many times before the Apple company. They also try to create different style covers that would more suit a business style. There are many businessmen that are using Apple products and business etiquette won’t accept pink or green cover. There are so called “leather cases” as well. Black, grey and brown but they all look little bit different if we compare with this one:

As you can see, this is the style that business people want to see and get. So there are always room for improvement and we hope that next Apple offer will be updated with new offer.
